I Was walking to my neighborhood train and looking around at the stony pebbles, construction, and crumbling sidewalk. I live in an industrial part of Brooklyn and it is nothing like where I stayed on my short visit last May. I sat idly at cafes, walked around beautiful neighborhoods and splurged a little because it felt like a vacation.<\/p>\n
I took it in, knowing this stay would be nothing like a day to day real life living in NYC. Back home I imagined what it would be like. I wondered how I would fit in, or if I’d be constantly stressed about finances.<\/p>\n

NYC is\u00a0known for so many things and offers a magical illusion that anything is possible. You slip in with quiet dreams and become one of countless to try and live it.<\/p>\n
You can become intimidated, as I was, and continue on as is.
